tartanstories start here
tartanstories is a direct spin-off from the tartanpodcast.
The tartanpodcast is the 1st music-based podcast hosted and produced in Scotland, and is taking the angle of highlighting the Scottish music scene. It's recorded live in Glasgow, the music capital of Europe, and plays the best in indie music in Scotland, and further afield...
But...
As host of the tartanpodcast I feel I have a story or two in me. I was able to give voice to one story in tartanpodcast #10. But I have more. The problem, however, is that the tartanpodcast is music-based. People subscribe, download and listen to the tartanpodcast to hear music - great music - not me and my stories...
Lance Anderson...Lance is the host of Verge of the Fringe. He's a storyteller, but not of the jackanory sort. When you listen to his podcast it's like your sitting in a coffee shop or a pub having a coffee or a cold one with him, listening to his stories of growing up in LA, or watching David Letterman. It's compelling and he's a clever guy.
He's clever, not just in his stories, but in his motivational skills. Listening to Lance makes you believe that you've got stories to tell too. And those stories, in turn, start nipping at you, demanding to be told.
Ok, my stories are nipping at me. They need a home. That home can't be the tartanpodcast.
The tartanpodcast is about music. So my stories have had to look for a new home. They think they've found it
